A couple of things I like about this movie. Well constructed opening sequence exposing the false flag operation - introducing us to the Michael Caine character - who gets results - even if it upsets the bosses. Great cast - everyone delivers. I especially liked Matt Frewer and Betsy Brantley who ham it up as the US serviceman and his bored wife.

0:00 A normałly very controlled Michael Caine who suddenly comes under the influence of love and passion seems to me to be a new fascinating film experience - and a dangerous combination for a master thief like the character Caine so excellent portrays. John Barry's sensitive accompanying music only completes the impression of a unique film.

At 1:07 I realized that, aside from too much violence and very unlikeable characters (including Anthony Hopkins) there was just no reason to keep watching so I stopped. What a waste of time this was!

That was a very complicated and confusing movie. I couldn't understand who the bad guys were and what they were doing that was bad. Where did they find all those places to film? I'd like to live in that castle, you have your own boat garage. Can land a helicopter.

This movie was Anthony Hopkins audition tape to play Bond. Will always wonder why he didn't get at least a chance. Great movie.

@25:00 ish. Tell one marine biologist who would dress like those 2, and have said suits with them onboard their ship when they are suppose to be working in and on the ocean. Off of a cold, rainy Scottish island. Were they expecting to go to a gala?
